Throughout this transformative year, the group achieved unprecedented milestones, witnessing substantial business expansion and initiating a series of pioneering endeavors, events, and activities.

Noteworthy agreements and memorandums of understanding with major international corporations underscored Saudia Group’s commitment to global collaboration, while multiple international awards further solidified its position as an industry leader.



A significant highlight of the year was the launch of 25 new international destinations across three continents by Saudi Airlines. This strategic move aligns with the group’s mission to foster global connectivity, catering to diverse sectors such as tourism, finance, business, Hajj, and Umrah.
Furthermore, 2023 marked a pivotal moment unveiling Saudia Group’s new identity. Representing a fresh era in aviation services, this unified system encompasses all subsidiaries, including aviation services, shipping, logistics, maintenance, and advanced aviation training. The comprehensive approach reflects Saudia Group’s commitment to contributing to the ambitious goals outlined in ‘Saudi Vision 2030.’

To actively support key national events and forums within the Kingdom, Saudi Airlines proudly announced its platinum partnership and official carrier status for the fourth edition of Riyadh Season in 2023. This prestigious sponsorship solidifies the airline’s role as a vital contributor to one of the world’s most anticipated entertainment seasons.

Recognizing its societal and developmental responsibilities, the group initiated several impactful events in collaboration with both local and international partners. In conjunction with the Social Responsibility Association, the group launched a campaign to participate actively in the “Green Saudi Arabia” initiative. This initiative aims to contribute to the ambitious goal of planting 10 billion trees throughout the Kingdom in the coming decades, aligning with the national objectives of this environmental initiative.

Through this concerted effort, the group aims to propagate the principles of sustainable development, fostering increased awareness about volunteering and sustainability practices and nurturing a sense of national pride and responsibility. The initiative stands as a testament to the group’s commitment to creating a lasting positive impact on the environment and society.

Saudi Airlines introduced the “Saudi Coffee Cup” initiative within AlFursan lounges at the Kingdom’s airports, aligning with its commitment to showcase its identity and embark on a new era that resonates with the authentic Saudi identity and heritage. This unique initiative encompasses a limited monthly production of 1,000 cups featuring 12 distinctive designs, each available at 90 Saudi Riyals. These collectible cups, sold exclusively in airport lounges across the Kingdom, were a testament to the airline’s distinct identity and served as a means of supporting Saudi youth. The net proceeds from the sales were directed towards charitable causes, underscoring Saudi Airlines’ dedication to social responsibility.

The group actively participated in key international exhibitions and forums, notably at the London World Travel Market (WTM) exhibition held from November 6 to 8, 2023. Recognized as a crucial platform for discussions on tourism development, the event brought together decision-makers and experts in the field. During this exhibition, the group showcased its new-era services, products, and initiatives designed to revolutionize the service system, enhancing the overall travel experience for guests.



These efforts underscored Saudi Airlines’ commitment to global connectivity, supporting the tourism, financial, business, Hajj, and Umrah sectors by fostering an exceptional shift in the travel industry.
Saudi Airlines played a pivotal role as the host for the fifty-sixth session of the General Assembly of the Arab Air Transport Association (AACO) in Riyadh, held from October 30 to November 1, 2023.

The assembly drew participation from CEOs of Arab airlines, aviation industry experts, manufacturers, and professionals specializing in information technology and other fields. Additionally, regional and international organizations focused on civil aviation were integral participants in this gathering.

The group further solidified its presence as the strategic sponsor and official aviation partner at the seventh edition of the Future Investment Initiative, held in Riyadh from October 24 to 26, 2023. This strategic involvement aligns with the commitment to actively contribute to major events hosted by the Kingdom across diverse sectors. It also reflects the group’s dedication to enhancing its role in fostering global connections with the Kingdom.

The year 2023 witnessed a series of significant agreements and memorandums of cooperation signed by the group with its partners. Notably, Saudi Airlines concluded a noteworthy agreement with the French company Safran, renowned for its expertise in aeronautical engineering. The agreement focuses on comprehensive support for the 35 Airbus A320neo aircraft powered by CFM International1 LEAP-1A turbine engines. In adherence to the highest aviation industry standards, this agreement guarantees the availability of vital components to ensure seamless operations.

Saudi Airlines solidified its commitment to cutting-edge ventures by concluding a memorandum of understanding with Red Sea International Company, the visionary developer behind the ambitious “Red Sea” and “Amala” destinations. Additionally, the agreement extends to “DAA International,” the Red Sea International Airport operator, making Saudi Airlines the inaugural air carrier to operate flights to and from the Red Sea International Airport.

In 2023, the group achieved significant global recognition, securing awards at various prestigious ceremonies. The accolades included the “Most Innovative Ground Operations” and “Best Employee Engagement and Collaboration” awards at The Sustainable Flight Challenge Awards 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Saudia was also a finalist for the “Greatest Carbon Reduction” award for medium-haul flights.

Adding to its list of achievements, Saudi Airlines clinched the esteemed title of “World Class Airline” for the third consecutive year at the APEX Global Awards. The airline’s Dubai Arabian Travel Market (ATM) pavilion secured the Best Stand Design Award for the second year, showcasing its immersive three-level stand.

In the Skytrax Airlines ranking of the World Best Airlines 2023, Saudi Airlines ascended 11 places to secure the 23rd spot. This recognition was based on votes from millions of travelers worldwide, and the announcement took place during the 54th edition of the Paris Air Show 2023, “Le Bourget”, in Paris, France.



Continuing its successful trajectory in 2023, Saudi Airlines proudly announced its sponsorship of Newcastle United, becoming the official airline partner of the English club. This strategic alliance aims to strengthen communication with the global fan base, offering them exceptional opportunities and memorable experiences.

The airline concluded the ‘The Million is Yours’ AlFursan Loyalty Program campaign, a testament to its dedication to optimal service and social responsibility. The campaign aimed to enhance loyalty towards the national carrier among members, achieve global standards in guest experience, and encourage and motivate them to join the AlFursan program through the Saudia app. All participants’ names were entered into the draw for prizes worth 10 million miles. There were two grand prizes of one million miles each for two winners and 80 prizes of 100,000 miles for each winner.
