Ethiopia’s Tigray region returns to darkness

Tigray region of Ethiopia once gain returned to darkness after ‘remnants of Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF)’ reportedly attached electric power station.

In its statement the state power agency, Ethiopia Electric Power, indicated that electricity was restored in most of parts of Tigray Region after TPLF damaged power infrastructures last November when it waged war against the Ethiopian army based in the region.

Tigray returned back to power outage after the TPLF remnants have damaged a power station located in an area named Adiguden, which distributes electricity from Alamata town to Mohoni and Mekele City.

The other electric transmission line in Tigray, which ranges from Tekeze to Axum and was also damaged last November by TPLF, is also currently going under maintenance by Ethiopia Electric Power.
