Internally displaced in Ethiopia since 2019 are returning to their homes: Ministry

People that were internally displaced due to conflict since 2019 are returning to their homes through the persistent collaboration of Regional and Zonal Administrations as well as members of the community.

Over 6700 out of the 11,078 displaced persons have returned back home so far.
Restoration is also underway on homes partially destroyed during the conflicts in the area.

The Support and Monitoring Team put together by the Ministry of Peace has confirmed that significant efforts are being made to return the remaining IDPs.
Residents of the area have urged the Ministry of Peace to continue strengthened support and monitoring efforts during the rehabilitation process. (Ministry of Peace, Ethiopia)
