Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA)-Ethiopia Managing Director Mr. Dayrl Wilson is set to raise funds for a local charity, Gergesenon Charity Organization, at an international cycling contest.

The Munga cycling contest is a non-stop single stage, semi-supported mountain bike race through the remote Karoo. The race will take place from 2nd – 7th December 2020 in South Africa. Sport commentators refer to the race as ‘The Toughest Race on Earth’ and it is a 1,100km single stage race across South Africa, according to the press statement from Coca-Cola Ethiopia.

It amounts to five days or 120 hours of riding starting from Bloemfontein and finishing in Wellington. The race requires riding through the night and the blistering heat of the Karoo in summer. The riders are expected to be completely independent and each contestant is required to carry everything on the bike, including food, clothing, bike spares etc.

Coca-Cola Ethiopia Managing Director, Mr. Dayrl Wilson will be riding in the race to raise funds for Gergesenon, a local association for mentally challenged people. So far he has managed to raise over $2,800 as shown on the go fund me link below. The association is currently in dire need of additional funds to be able to treat even more learning disabled people. For this cause, Mr. Wilson has set-up a gofundme platform and a bank account to facilitate the collection of funds in the name of the charity association.
