President Sahle-Work Zewde of Ethiopia and President Alassane Ouattara of Cote d’Ivoire met in Abidjan yesterday on the sidelines of African Investment Forum.

The two presidents have held a conversation and acknowledged the excellent cooperation between Ethiopia and Cote d’Ivoire. They also discussed ways to consolidate and strengthen relations, in particular through the African Continental Free Trade Area framework, according to the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.



Opened in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, the 2022 African Investment Forum is opened yesterday in Abidjan with the attendance of many African decision makers and global financers. This is the first in-person meetings of African Investment Forum since 2019.

Themed, the Market Days, the Forum will showcase billions of dollars in investment-ready transactions to participants from around the world, according to the information from the African Development Bank. At the Forum African leaders on Wednesday laid out the continent’s vast potential and invited global investors to seize investment opportunities.

Speaking during the 2022 Africa Investment Forum Market Days being held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire’s economic capital, the leaders vowed to continue working to strengthen the economic resilience of their countries against external shocks.
