Eight new COVID-19 positive found in Ethiopia

The Ministry of Health of Ethiopia said today eight additional coronavirus (COVID-19) positive people are found during the last 24 hours.

The Ministry said that it has conducted a total of 447 people have taken COVID-19 laboratory tests during the last 24 hours. Out of the eight new COVID-19 positive people found three are British, Somali and Eritrean nationals. The remaining five are Ethiopians, of which four have no international travel history. One has returned from the United States of America, accoring to the report of the Ministry. The newly infected Ethiopians include a 14 and 16 years old girls.



In Ethiopia so far 82 people are confirmed COVID-19 positive are found. Out of them three have died and 14 recovered. So far Ethiopia has conducted laboratory test for COVID-19 for a total of 4,557 people. In Africa Algeria over 830 people have lost their lives by the global pandemic, of which Algeria and Egypt leads losing 313 and 164 lives, respectively. Globally over 120,000 people have lost their lives by the pandemic and over one 1,300,000 are infected, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
