An Ethiopian Charity Association in the UK set up a fundraising event involving Ethiopians and Eritreans living in Liverpool to rehabilitate people affected by the conflict in Ethiopia. Ethiopian ambassador in the UK, Teferi Melese, appreciated the community members for initiating the fundraising program.

He expressed hope that the Association would expand its support in reconstructing destroyed infrastructure, according to the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia. He underlined the importance of establishing a strong association of the Ethiopian community to create a force to be reckoned with in the areas they live.

Representing the Charity Association, Tomas Yemane, Berhanu Worku, and Mrs. Hanna Legesse pledged to set up similar fundraising events and thanked attendees for their support.
