Paradigm Initiative to premiere its short film in Ethiopia

Nov28,2022

Leading Pan-African Digital Rights and Inclusion organization, Paradigm Initiative (PIN) is set to premiere this week its short film, Finding Diana on the sidelines of this year’s Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The movie will exclusively premiere at Radisson Blu Hotel in Addis, Ababa on Wednesday, 30th November 2022, according to the information from Paradigm Initiative. “The movie is inspired by the organization’s 2021 Annual Digital Rights and Inclusion Report-Londa,” it said.

“The report highlights the state of digital rights and inclusion in 22 African countries. This is the third short film PIN is producing based on the findings of the report. The first film the organization produced was Training Day while the second one was Focus.”

It is stated that for the last 15 years, PIN has impacted the lives of under-served African youth with improved livelihoods through digital opportunities and protection of their online rights. “For more than eight years, the organization has advanced internet freedom, proposed policy solutions and monitored the legal and policy framework around Information Communication Technology (ICTs) on the continent to ensure citizen rights.”

“It has further trained non-profit organizations and educational institutions on the usage of ICTs for digital security and online and social media advocacy through its annual digital rights reports, which have been converted into short films to speak more to the younger audience,” said Paradigm Initiative.
