Ethiopia police captures 3.9 kilograms cocaine

The federal Police of Ethiopia captured 3.9 kilograms of cocaine this week from nationals of Brazil, Bolivia and Ghana at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The three international narcotic drug traffickers began their journey from Sao Paulo, Brazil. They were heading to Mumbai, India. Meanwhile the three individuals are caught with a total of 3.9 kilograms of cocaine transiting at Bole international Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.



The Brazilian and Bolivian drug traffickers caught with the cocaine were women, while the third narcotic drug trafficker was an African with nationality of Ghana, according to Commander Mengisteab Beyene, Deputy Director of Narcotic Drugs Control Operation at the Federal Police of Ethiopia.

The individuals were hiding the cocaine in different parts of their body. The report of Federal Police aired this afternoon on the state broadcaster – ETV stated that the woman from Brazil was carrying 2.5 kilograms of cocaine between her legs.

The Bolivian woman was also hiding the cocaine in the trouser she was wearing. While the guy from Ghana was hiding some of the cocaine in his socks and made to vomit some amount of cocaine he swallowed. Currently the three international narcotic drug traffickers are arrested in Ethiopia being investigated, according to the report.
