The National Defense Force of Ethiopia has liberated Mekele, the capital of TIgray region, from the control of Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF). The federal police is now searching to capture and bring to court the leaders wanted for treason and war crimes, among others.
The Government of Ethiopia said it has launched final phase of military action to bring to justice the TPLF leaders hiding in Mekele, the capital of Tigray Region found in the northern part.
The Federal Prison Administration, which used to be blamed for violating human rights of prisoners in Ethiopia, says it has fired 103 individuals who were in leadership positions.
