Fifteen teams of a total of 32 emerging African social entrepreneurs have been selected as winners of the 2018 Resolution Social Venture Challenge. The 2018 cohort of Social Venture Challenge winners include projects based in Kenya, Gambia, Uganda, Somaliland, Ghana, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Malawi, Tanzania, and Lebanon.
Mastercard has appointed Salah Goss as Head of the Mastercard Labs for Financial Inclusion, based in Nairobi, Kenya. She will be leading the Lab, which has opened its doors in 2015 and is part of a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Mastercard and Unilever extend partnership to help micro entrepreneurs in Africa and other regions overcome the cash constraints that limit their ability to buy and sell more products and ultimately grow their businesses.
