Two Nigerian passengers reportedly carrying narcotic drug die on Ethiopian Flight flying to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The two passengers whose death cause was investigated by Ethiopia police has found that the two individuals were carrying two kilograms of cocaine in their bellies, according to Ethiopian Police report aired on the national broadcaster – ETV- TV this morning.
The hidden cocaine was found after their remains of the two Nigerians are taken to St. Paul Hospital in Addis Ababa after the police reported to the Embassy of Nigeria in Ethiopia.
The autopsy has also found that the reason for the death of the two Nigerians was the cocaine hidden in their bellies, according to Commander Mengisteab Beyene, director of Narcotic Drugs Inspection at Ethiopian Federal Police Commission.
The Director indicated that the route (Sao Paulo to Addis Ababa) is known as one of the route used by narcotic drugs traffickers. “This incident is not the first time. We have witnessed similar incidents I the past,” director said, indicating that Ethiopian Police is working with the Interpol to track ad stop the circulation of narcotic drugs by the traffickers.
