Ethiopian army liberates Adwa, Axum towns

The national Defense Force of Ethiopia has liberated today the towns of Adwa and Axum fully from the control of Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF).

After liberating Adwa and Axum towns, the army has now heading to the town of Adigrat, according to. Fact checking State of Emergency Fact Check by the command post which is in charge of Tigray Region. Adwa if the birth place of most of the TPLF old guards including the late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi and the God father of TPLF Sibhat Nega one of the founders of TPLF, while Axum is one of the oldest civilizations and tourist destinations of Ethiopia.



In a related development, the ruling party affiliated media – FBC reported this evening reported this evening that Ethiopian army members who are from Tigray region have held a meeting and denounced the attack of TPLF on the northern command of the army, which led to the ongoing military clash with the federal government. The participants of the meeting indicated that they are sad to see the attempt of TPLF to divide the proud Ethiopian defense force along ethnic lines for the sake of protecting the individuals implicated in crimes.
