Owned by retired Olympic gold medalist Athlete Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia, Haile Hotels & Resorts has embarked on the 11th hostel construction in Wolkite, Southern region of Ethiopia.

During foundation laying ceremony on Sunday the owner of the company Athlete Haile Gebrselassie indicated that his company will be investing half a billion Birr in the project, which as haile said will be beneficial for everyone, mainly the residents by creating jobs, and additional revenue to the city.



Owned by the retired two Olympic gold medalist in 10,000 meters, and four titles holder in world champions, Haile Hotel & Resorts has been investing in luxury hotels in different parts of Ethiopia.

The operational hotels owned by Haile Hotels & Resorts are found in major tourist destinations in Ethiopia namely Arba Minch, Adama, Hawassa, Gondar, and Ziway (Batu), while a few are currently under construction. In addition, the company also owns Yaya Africa Athletics Village at the outskirt of Addis Ababa.



In addition to hotels and hospitality businesses, the legendary Haile Gebrselassie has been investing in different sectors in Ethiopia – including commercial real estates and coffee farms and automotive trading and assembly, among others, which have created jobs for thousands of people and generating tens of millions of Birr tax revenue to his country.
