The delegation of Ethiopia in charge of promoting tourism attractions of the country, participated in the 28th International Mediterranean Tourism Market in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In the two-day exhibition opened on Monday , exhibitors from 33 countries will showcase their tourist attraction sites and heritages. The Ethiopian embassy in Israel, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines displayed a video that highlighted Ethiopia’s tangible and intangible heritages to attendees in the exhibition.
The video, in particular, features Ethiopia’s landscape, cultural heritage, historical heritage, and archeological displays substantiating Ethiopia as a land of origins, according to the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
Ethiopia’s ambassador in Israel, Reta Alemu called on Israelis to visit Ethiopia, pledging to them through the embassy. President of Israel, H.E. Herzog, Minister of Tourism Yoel Razvozov, and senior tourism officials from Israel and abroad presided over the launching ceremony of the exhibition.
This year’s fair is said to focus on virtual tourism training in the post-coronavirus era, innovations in accessible tourism, and supporting entrepreneurs to set up tourism businesses.
