The Good Business (TGB) initiative invited Ethiopian small businesses engaged in fashion industry for a bootcam.
On 19 and 20 May, 2021 the initiative is set to host for these business groups. TGB was launched its first business development programs for Ethiopian impact start-ups and small and micro enterprises in March this year.
Design Market Success‘ aims at the country’s fashion and textile sectors. Running in parallel is an idea competition that will provide seed-funding to five sustainable businesses that are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic with innovative concepts that secure their jobs in their business.
The textile industry is one of the most important sectors in Ethiopia. Many start-ups and SME enterprises work in this sector. How these industry representatives in particular can gain better market access and make more targeted use of their market potential is the focus of ‘Design Market Access’, the fashion bootcamp and idea competition organized by The Good Business (TGB).
The aim is to provide Ethiopian impact start-ups and SMEs from the fashion, textile and accessories sectors with new strategic approaches through knowledge transfer and exchange on how they can optimize their production, increase their reach, boost their impact and create jobs along their supply chain – even in times of a pandemic.
