The Government of Ethiopia in collaboration with the Governments of Oman and Saudi Arabia have helped repatriation of 405 Ethiopian immigrants from Oman and Saudi Arabia, the Ministry said.
In its statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia indicated that among the 270 repatriated from Saudi five are children. The returnees are transported by Saudi Air.
Media reports show that thousands of Ethiopians who entered Saudi Arabia illegally are currently found in Saudi jails. In a related development three days ago on January 6, 2021, a total of 135 Ethiopians are also returned from Oman.
