Ethiopia finds 35 percent COVID-19 positive

The daily COVID-19 test results of Ethiopia for December 30, 2021 shows that 35 percent of the total number of people tested are found positive.

Out of the 14,035 people who took COVID-19 tests, 4,998 of them are found positive, according to the data from the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia.



Likewise, the daily COVID-19 test results of the country for December 28, 2021 shows that 39 percent of the total number of people tested are found positive. Out of the 13,280 people who took COVID-19 tests, 5,185 of them are found positive, according to the data from the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia.

On average COVID-19 positive rate in Ethiopia from the people tested in the past few weeks was less than 30 percent.

Until December 30, 2021 the total number of COVID-19 active cases in Ethiopia has increased to 54,020.
The daily COVID-19 update of the Ministry for December 30, 2021 also shows that out of the 4,998 positive individuals, 260 are found in severe condition. While 321 have recovered from the pandemic.



On December 30, 2021 Ethiopia has also reported ten deaths from COVID-19, which has increased the total number of people who lost their lives in the country by the pandemic so far to 6,926.

Out of the 415,443 total number of people who are found COVID-19 positive in Ethiopia so far, 354,495 have recovered. Up to December 30, 2021 Ethiopia has conducted laboratory tests for a total of 4,098,858 people. When it comes to vaccination, the country has vaccinated a total of 9,344,106 people.
