The total number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Ethiopia has increased to 389, the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia said.
The number has increased after the Ministry has confirmed 24 new COVID-19 cases testing 3,460 individuals. All the 24 new coronavirus infected people are Ethiopians nationals and 18 of them are male.
Out of the new 24 cases 12 had international travel history. While eight of them had prior close contact with COVID-19 patients and four have neither international travel history nor close contact with patients, according to the Ministry.
Nine out of the 24 are nine are from the capital, Addis Ababa, eight are from Amhara Region and seven are from Tigray Region who were in quarantine centers. In Ethiopia out of the total 389 confirmed cases, 122 have recovered and five have died.
