The total number of coronavirus cases in Ethiopia has increased to 10,207 after the country reported 704 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health of Ethiopia in its daily statement indicated that the 704 new cases reported in 24 hours is the largest number the country reported so far in a single day. Of the new 704 cases 551 are found in the capital, Addis Ababa, 39 from Tigray and 30 from Amhara regions.
The report also shows that 26 are from Gambella, 21 from Amhara, 11 from Sidama, 10 from Dire Dawa, 5 from Benishangul Gumz, 3 from Somali, 3 from Afar and 3 from Harari and 2 from Southern region of Ethiopia. In the last 24 hours three people have also died from coronavirus in Ethiopia, which increased the total number of people died so far to 170.
The total number of people recovered from coronavirus in Ethiopia so far has also increased to 5,137 after 196 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The total number of people Ethiopia has conducted coronavirus test has increased to 331,266 including the 7,334 people tested in the last 24 hours.
