Ethiopian police seized 10 illegal Kalashnikov guns with many bullets from smugglers around Guraferda area in Benchi Sheko zone of Southern region of Ethiopia.
The car carrying the illegal weapons departed from Gamabella region and was heading to Fiche zone of Oromia Region, according to Federal Police news report aired this morning on the state broadcaster – ETV.
The guns with 30 packs of bullets were hidden inside Hyundai car code 2-75528 AA. Two individuals suspected of involving in the circulation of the illegal weapons are arrested, while the driver managed to escape, according to the report. It is stated that the police managed to seize the weapons after getting tips from informants.
