Seventeen people died in Ethiopia on Thursday morning when a military plane crash around 85 kilometers South East of Addis Ababa near Modjo town.
Out of the total causalities seven are civilians including two women and two children, according the police Commander Aschalew Alemu, quoted in the news report.
The military plane was departed from Eastern part of the country, Dire Dawa town, and crashed 20 minutes before reaching its destination (Debre Ziet Air-force), according to the state media – Ethiopian News Agency. The remains of all the causalities are taken by two military choppers, according the police commander. The crash has caused fire immediately. Authorities say they are investigating the cause of the Dash 6 airplane crash.
All the seventeen people aboard are died when the plane crashed this morning at 10.30 in a place called Nannawa area Lumme district near Modjo town, according to the report.
