Ethiopians in Australia donate $153,000 for war affected

Save Ethiopia, a civil society established by Ethiopian diaspora in Australia has donated $153,000 to Ethiopians affected by the ongoing civil war in northern Ethiopia.

The money collected in one fund raising program from Ethiopians and Ethiopian origin living in Australia, according to the statement from the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency.

The money is handed over to Dr. Mohammed Endris, deputy head of Ethiopian Diaspora Agency, which has been engaged in supporting the activities of Ethiopian diaspora being oversighted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

During the handover ceremony in Addis Ababa, it is stated that Ethiopians in Australia are preparing themselves to permanently contribute money from their income and support the needs people in their motherland – Ethiopia.
