Ethiopia reports 118 COVID-19 recoveries in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours 118 patients have recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ministry of Health said.

In its daily report the Ministry indicated that the new recoveries will increase the total number of COVID-19 patients recovered from the pandemic in Ethiopia to 738. Out of the 118 new recoveries, 115 are from the capital Addis Ababa, while the remaining three are from Tigray region.



The daily report of the Ministry also indicated out of the 5,102 people tested in the last 24 hours, 109 of them are found coronavirus positive. This has increased the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,630. Out of the new 109 cases 81 are from Addis Ababa, 9 from Oromia, four from Somali, four from Southern part, three from Amhara, three from Tigray, three from Afar, and two from Harari regions.

Currently 2629 COVID-19 patients are getting medical treatment in Ethiopia, of which 32 are in critical condition. So far the country has lost lives of 61 people by the pandemic.
