The youth Festival 2023 “Be inspired, Own Your Future” to celebrate, connect and empower Ethiopian youth will take place on April 29 – 30, 2023 at Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
Amref Health Africa the lead partner of the integrated youth activity KEFETA brings this two-day festival where youth will interface with policymakers, successful and prominent personalities and young entrepreneurs and business people.
Youth empowering activities included in the upcoming festival are: skills-building boot camps on technology, business and entrepreneurship, communications and youth health wellbeing. The festival will also feature an artist’s gallery, a tech village, a market fair, sports games and a talent show featuring young performers from various cities Ethiopian cities.
The festival is said to be the third iteration following two regional festivals previously held in Hawassa in December 2022 and Bahirdar on march 2023 this year engaging more than 5000 youth in peace forums.
The planning and organization of the event is being led by Amref in collaboration with its consortium partners, Miella Events, the ministry of Women & Social Affairs, Addis Ababa City Administration, development partners and the private sector.
