Today, Ovid Group in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Office of Ethiopia inaugurated Aware Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project.
The inauguration ceremony celebrated the completion of five modern housing blocks in the Aware area, designed to provide former residents with state-of-the-art living accommodations. These blocks, built over the span of just 130 days, are part of Ovid Group’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and sustainable urban development.
The event was attended by His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, who, in the spirit of the upcoming Ethiopian New Year, officially presented these new homes as a gift to the displaced residents of the area. Joining the Prime Minister were high-ranking ministers & Government officials. The event showcased the joint efforts of the government and Ovid Group to uplift the community through innovative housing solutions.
The newly constructed 11-story blocks feature 22 units of one- and two-bedroom apartments, 11 three-bedroom apartments, 105 ground-floor shops, and a basement with communal facilities such as a laundry, traditional kitchen, and storage. Totally Added up of 275 housing units. Built with high-quality materials and Kumkang technology, the project also introduced Ovid’s cutting-edge toilet pod technology, enhancing both convenience and sustainability.

H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed presented Mr. Yonas Tadesse with a Certificate of Appreciation and a prestigious gold medal, recognizing his exceptional support and contributions to the success of the Aware CSR Project.
The event took place at the Aware CSR Project Site in Addis Ababa, with the local community, government officials, and Ovid team members in attendance. The Prime Minister’s Office aims to continue such initiatives as part of its broader vision for urban development and improved living conditions for all Ethiopians.
