Ethiopian Airlines Plans increasing Flights to 240 Destinations

Ethiopian Airlines, which over 155 international passenger and cargo destinations across 83 countries, plans to increase its total number of destinations to 242 by 2040.

This is indicated by the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, Mesfin Tasew, according to Fana Broadcasting. He also stated that the state-owned company is planning to generate $8.3 billion revenue this year.

Meanwhile recent report show that Ethiopian Airlines lost over $130 million last week following flights disruptions due to the launching of air strikes by the US and Israel on Iran and Iran’s drone and ballistic missiles responses to the countries in the middle east, which mainly host US military bases.

Mr. Mesfin also explained that the capacity to handle domestic and international travelers is growing and noted that the cargo service has developed a capacity to handle one million tons per year. It is also reported that President of Ethiopia Taye Atske Selassie, who is the patron of the Ethiopian Quality Award Organization, observed the work being implemented by the Ethiopian Airlines Group winner of the 12th Quality Award to expand its international reach through its services.
