The Governments of Somalia and Sudan have expressed their intention to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between them.
This is indicated on Tuesday when Somali foreign minister meets with Sudanese ambassador in Somalia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, Mr. Absher Omar Jama, on Tuesday received at his office the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Federal Republic of Somalia, Khalafullah Mustafa Babker Abdullah.
The two sides reflected on the established historical relations between the two countries and the peoples, according to the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia.
“The meeting highlights bilateral relationships and cooperation in all areas of shared importance. The security and political developments in Somalia and humanitarian efforts to end the horrible extreme drought to prevent deadly starvation were also discussed,” the statement noted.
