Leading a delegation speaker of Ethiopian House of Federation, Keria Ibrahim, visists Abu Dhabi where she held talks with Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces.

On Tuesday the Crown Prince of held meeting with the on parliamentary, developmental and humanitarian fields, according to Emirates News Agency. Keria and Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the FNC’s headquarters.



The MoU aims to promote dialogue and coordination on issues of common interest, to keep pace with the UAE’s goals and deepen its partnership with Ethiopia, based on its keenness to enhance its communication and establish partnerships with other countries and peoples.

Keria, who is visiting the UAE with her delegation on an invitation from the FNC stated that the signing of the MoU is due to the keenness of their countries to improve their bilateral relations, based on understanding, mutual respect and common interests.

The MoU aims to promote dialogue and coordination on issues of common interest, to keep pace with the UAE’s goals and deepen its partnership with Ethiopia, based on its keenness to enhance its communication and establish partnerships with other countries and peoples.

The UAE is one of Ethiopia’s current reform led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. To help Ethiopia resolve the foreign exchange shortage, it has also provided one billion dollars last year right after PM Abiy came to power. It has also pledged to invest some three billion dollars in Ethiopia.
