Ethiopia reports 399 new coronavirus cases

The Ministry of Health of Ethiopia today reported 399 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases after testing 4,848 people in the last 24 hours.

The figure is the largest the country has reported in a single day. The new figure has increased the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ethiopia to 4,469. Today 95 patients have also recovered, according to the report, which indicated that the total recoveries in the country has now increased to 1,122. Out of the total confirmed cases in Ethiopia 72 have lost their lives, while 30 are in critical condition.



Over the last three months, the country has so far conducted laboratory tests for coronavirus for 211, 871 people over the last three months. Ethiopia has also announced revising the 14 days quarantine at government health facilities to 7 days. The individual who found to be free from the global pandemic will be required to self quarantine for additional 7 days, according to Minister of Peace Mufariat Kamil, who is also head of the national Ministrial Committee against COVID-19.
