The Ministry of Health of Ethiopia reports 35 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases found during the last 24 hours.
The new 35 cases are found after the Ministry conducted coronavirus laboratory tests for 1,775 people, according to Minister of Health Dr. Liya Tadesse. The total number of confirmed coronavirus in Ethiopia has now reached 352 of which five have died and 116 recovered.
All the new COVID-19 positive people are Ethiopian nationals between the ages of 18 to 80, of which 17 are male. Out of the 35 new cases, 29 are from the capital, Addis Ababa, four from Somali region, one from Amhara and another one from Oromia regions.
Six of them had international travel history. 24 of them had contacts with COVID-19 patients and the remaining five had no international travel history or contact with COVID-19 positive individuals. Out of the total 352 confirmed coronavirus cases, 229 are currently getting treatment, according to COVID-19 data of the country.
