Ethiopia coronavirus update June 10, 2020

NEWS- Ethiopia today reports 170 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases after conducting laboratory tests for 6, 187 people in the last 24 hours.

In its daily report the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia indicated that out of the 170 new COVID19 positive people, 81 are from Addis Ababa, 57 from Somali, 13 Amhara, 7 from Tigray, 7 from Oromia, 3 from Harari, and 2 are from Southern regions of Ethiopia.



The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ethiopia has now increased to 2,506 out of which 2,068 are currently getting medical treatment. So far 401 of them have also recovered including 12 new recoveries reported yesterday.

The number of people died so far in Ethiopia from the pandemic has also increased to 35 after three new deaths reported today. So far Ethiopia has conducted laboratory tests for a total of 158,521 people.

Out of the total of 197,313 confirmed cases in Africa, 86,338 have so far recovered while 5357 people have died from the pandemic. Globally, out of the total of 7.26 million people infected so far, over 411,694 have passed away, according to Johns Hopkins University record.
