The total number of coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths in Ethiopia has surpassed 1,000 this weekend after the country reported 17 new deaths on Sunday.
Now 1,013 people in Ethiopia have lost their lives by COVID-19, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Health. It is indicated that currently 30,303 COVID-19 patients are getting medical treatment. Out of them 342 are in critical condition.
Out of the 7,162 people tested for coronavirus in 24 hours, 413 are found to be positive. During the last 24 hours, 490 patients have recovered from the pandemic. This has increased the total number of people recovered so far in the country to 24,983.
