The Ministry of health of Ethiopia announced that it has found three more individuals infected by the global pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19).
The new three individuals reported infected by the global pandemic includes 85 years old Ethiopian who recently came from abroad, according to the social media post of the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. Though she managed to isolate himself since his arrival, the woman was reported to be in a critical condition.
The second new victim of the virus is a 44 years old Japanese who had contact with the first Japanese confirmed to acquire the virus in Ethiopia. The third one is a 39 years old Australian national.
The new figure will increase the total number of people confirmed infected by COVID-19 to nine. So far the country has not reported death resulting from coronavirus. The first patient Ethiopia reported was a Japanese national. Then three people who had contact with the first patient were also found infected by COVID-19. In addition, two individuals – an Ethiopian coming from Dubai and a British national were reported positive.
In Africa so far 367 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with seven deaths is reported by the World Health Organization (WHO). The global pandemic has so far claims lives of over 8,771 people, while infecting 209,127 plus.
