NEWS – After conducting laboratory tests for 5,707 people, Ethiopia confirmed 245 new COVID-19 cases in one day, the largest number the country reported in 24 hours so far.
The Ministry of Health of Ethiopia in its daily report today said the total number of confirmed cases in the country so far has increased to 2,915. Out of them 451 have recovered so far. Out of the 245 new coronavirus cases, 190 are found in Addis Ababa, 17 in Oromia, 16 in Somali, 15 in Tigray, four in Sothern and three are from Amhara regions of Ethiopia.
Currently 2,415 of those COVID-19 positive are getting medical treatment. Seven patients have also died in 24 hours increasing the total deaths from the pandemic in the country so far to 47. The total number of coronavirus laboratory tests conducted in Ethiopia has also increased to 170,860.
