The organisers of the 2021 TotalEnergies Great Ethiopian Run International 10km have set a new date of Sunday 23rd January 2022 for staging the race.

Organisers have also announced that some additional race places will be arranged for the diaspora community who will be travelling to Ethiopia to celebrate Ethiopian Christmas on 7th January 2021.



General Manager of Great Ethiopian Run Dagmawit Amare expressed her delight at the decision about the new date: “It feels right – as well as a great honour – for us to be staging our annual 10km race to coincide with the homecoming of many Ethiopians. This race has always been a celebration of us coming together as a nation, and there is no better time for us to do this than now.”

Training advice for participants will be posted on the Great Ethiopian Run YouTube page in the coming days. Additional race information will also be available on Great Ethiopian Run website and social media channels.
